Anger ?..how to control?

Hi Please help me I have anger management issues.i don't know how to control it..because of my anger I have spoiled my relationships. Please help me Thanks

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh Try this: Instead of thinking that you want to be a nice and kind person, try thinking straight out that you don't want to regret and feel poorly/guilty about your behavior (like you are feeling right now); basically you want to avoid feeling CRAPPY afterwards. The thing is that when you get angry, you start thinking about it even after it has ended, and you carry such moments into your future. Makes you get attached to your past, which is certainly not healthy. So,

Just leave the room, or distance yourself (perhaps by looking away, closing your eyes for a momen and say in your heart Satnam Waheguru - bless me with patience), take a couple deep breaths, and chill. Once you are calm, you can think about the issue more clearly - a bit of science:

Anger - emotional centres in the brain are activated; these are part of the superficial thinking; only helpful when you are being threatened by a life-threatening situation (like ones that faced our evolutionary anccestors)

Thinking under calmness - Prefrontal cortex activated - the thinking part of your brain; important for self-control, wisdom, intelligence among many other things

In a practical way, sometimes writing it down can help. Write down how angry you are and who you're angry at and why and when you've calmed down go back and read it. You find that what you were angry at, sometimes is nothing and you'll be able to shoot down your own ego. In some instances you'll find yourself laughing at it or maybe you'll notice a pattern and be able to remove the stem of your anger. Obviously all of this isn't possible without God, do an Ardas to ask GuruJi to help you realise your anger and with Guru's help eradicate it. Keep apologising to the people around you and just ask them to have patience and explain to them how you feel, with God's Grace they'll understand.

Forgive me for any mistakes, it's just something I've learned to deal with my ego and I apologise if it sounds like something that isn't for you, we're all human and not perfect so give yourself time and when you're ready GuruJi will take it away

when you are angry then just take a long & deep breathe, surely u will feel calm.you should think a little about on that issue.Once you are calm, you can think about the issue more clearly.you hav to feel just cool & have some patience.

Just try to keep calm at the situations when there is chance of become you angry. Do yoga in morning, which beneficial in getting fresh and calm.

I use to have anger issues too. One day; I realized that because of that, everyone else and everything in my world was controlling me.I wasn't in control of me, this was unacceptable. I realized that I was giving away too much power.I realized that I could respond to things without the rage,calmly express my opinion when I believe in my heart that what I say matters.So when I speak about something I don't have to yell or argue, or fight about it , because I dont really care if you agree or not. I dont get mad now because I nothing people do surprises me.As I like to say and it servers me well,'it is what it is'.
