I want to start meditating but I'm not sure how to? How do I get into it, how do I stay focused throughout and not let any other thoughts interrupt. I want to meditate for forgiveness (both from WaheGuruJi and my family) and peace of mind and to clear my bad karma. I want to get rid of the Dukh I caused and start getting Sukh into the house

Guruji's main hukam answers this (and answers really any other logical question. The answer is naam. Guruji reccomends using "Waheguru, Waheguru, Waheguru...". It diverts your mind from evil, but when evil does come up, it let's you see the dirt of your mind, and it destroys the dirt of the mind. Naam is the only way, y'know? Over time, you'll gain peace and it'll clean you from karma. Check out this link: meditationisliberation.blogspot.com. It is about different meditation styles. It isn't specifically for Sikhs, but it is meditation anyway. Naam is simple. Chant waheguru, and be at peace.

I hope this helped

The process of meditation is a cleaning of the mind. It is natural to have thoughts arise during meditation. The Naad acts as an oil filter in a car removing dirt as thoughts flow through the sound current of Naam. Here are some links to get you started. Learn from the video and practice. Pick one that feels right to you and do it at the same time every day untill your practice is established. Don't give up saying "Oh, I can't meditate" or "I can't concentrate." You can. Anyone can. Our Guru's teachings are for everybody.
