If Guru ji tells us to follow Hukam and accept the will of God then why do we have to do Ardas for the well-being of humanity. Doesn't Waheguru already knows what is best for humanity? Does our Ardas have any impact ? We also do Ardas if want something whether it be wealth or good health. Isn't it also a sign that we are under the influence of 5 thieves(panj vikars) ?

Prayer is a projection of the energy of the heart through the ray of light of the mind. We are not separate from God. Ik Ong Kaar. We are One with the One. Therefore we are participants in the act of creation; co-creators, as it were. Our prayer is according to our understanding.

If you do Ardaas you should wish only for Sukh ( happiness) you don't know what is best for you

The meaning of Ardaas is to yield to the one creator and when you ask for something like a kid etc and it gets fulfilled means your bond is stronger now.

If you do Ardaas for well being of humanity only you will benefit from it , contentment will be born in your mind and the venomous greed will die, Since you pray for others constantly your mind will think that you don't need more.
