Sex before marriage is ok?

From a Globalist perspective, the marriage is just your commitment. But if you are asking a karmic question, then marriage isn't affecting the karma. A single person may only have sex with one person in their life, but they might not be married. A married person may be having affairs all day long, but they are married. So its not whether you are married, its whether or not you are sleeping around.The single person is doing things in a way most would think is fine, and the married guy will probably end up in trouble. So the key is having just one partner, that person you are merging souls with. Equally, the question then comes, why the 2 single people wouldn't get married, but it's a question of commitment. It's not really anyone else's business whether or not two people who want to be together their whole lives are married or not. That's their personal commitment and choice.
From the Sikhi perspective, we have those marital ceremonies to ensure that commitment and create the binding of the souls to Guru Maharaj. That's a really beautiful thing remember, why to miss out on that? :)
From a Khalsa perspective, there is a rehit and part of that is waiting untill marriage.
