I'm Sikh and I'm interested in taking amrit because I feel like there's something missing in my life. I've always been quite spiritual but I need some type of commitment. I had some questions about taking Amrit and being a female Sikh do women who want to take Amrit have to wear a dastar (turban). I don't have any close friends or family who are female and wear a turban so I would have to learn myself. Secondly would I have to wear a kirpan? I'm not sure if everybody would understand what it is. If I take Amrit does this mean I have to stop eating eggs and fish? I'm currently a pescetarian so the only met I have is fish. If I become vegan canI still get all the vital nutrients and vitamins? I'm interested in taking that next step but I'm not sure I meet the full requirements and what the exact requirements are?

Guru Ji made no difference between genders. The question is, what are the requirements for Amrit as a human being?

I really appreciate your words, "I need some commitment".

The requirements for a female to get baptized is almost the same as those required for males.

You need to wear all the 5 K's including Kirpan.
Pure Vegetarian, yes so.
No physical intimacy outside marriage.
An Amridhari or a baptized Sikh is not supposed to trim, wax, shave or dye the bodily hairs from head to toe.
The head must be covered at all times but for females they can either wear a turban or cover it with a Chunni.

Hi, I have already done amrit chak, and I have 2 kids do I need to Amrit chak again after giving birth . I heard I had to otherwise I’ve Kandit. My family is not a veg family is it necessary to be one.

Of course not, your Amrit does not break after having children. I'm not quite sure if you were asking if it's necessary to be a vegetarian. There are some videos online explaining why Sikhs should be vegetarian also Bhenji.
