ਪਸੰਦ ਹੈ or ਪਿਆਰ? I m getting a "Love" tattoo dedicated to my children. Which one is the correct spelling for this matter? Need help in Punjabi language. Help. There are many different spellings and meanings to the different spellings of love in Punjabi language. I m looking for the correct one for a tattoo dedicated to my Punjabi children. Thanks!

definately pyaar (the second one) is more accurate when dedicated to your children. Pasand hai (the first) means more "i like this" than love. it is usually used in language like i like this color, for example, but sometimes can also be used when people are setting up a match with someone "I like that girl" (oh ladki pasand hai). Pyar is what people use for their loved ones for sure.

Thank you! My Dewar first told me pasand hai, but it didn't seem right, I asked him about pyaar, & he agreed that he was originally looking for that. I just wanted to be sure. Thank you again!
