Lower than others
Gurbani tells us to consider ourselves lower than those around us (I'm forgetting the line right now). How do u consider yourself lower than someone who, say, cuts their hair, or drinks alcohol, etc?

By "lower" Guru Ji means that we serve every soul. All pranees are equal, but some souls have evolved more than others. This does not make them "better" or "higher" any more than someone who has completed 12th form is better than someone completing 9th form. It's just that everyone is progressing and learning the lessons that soul needs to learn. To be the "lowest of the low" or the "dust of the fet of the saints" means that you live in seva and serve each soul in the way that that soul needs to be served at that intersection of time and space.
Honestly it's not about considering yourself lower then them because we are equal in Sikhism . I think it really means just let god judge everyone wether he is an Amritdhati or an alcoholic. Because god knows the ultimate truth and all we honestly see is the physical personality of a person.
