We as Sikhs believe in reincarnation into both animal and human lives, but do we remain the same gender through all of our births, if not then what determines the gender we will be given?

Gender does not necessarily remain the same. In a human incarnation we are born to the gender in which we can best pay our karmas in that lifetime.

Guruka Singh, I feel like you should change your answer a little bit, you made it sound like one gender has better karma than the other
