2018-08-27 01:20:07 -0500 | asked a question | Veganism and Sikhi When I went to the Gurdwara for the first time (a few days ago) I was given karah prasad after bowing down. I searched up the ingredients online later and found out that butter is used to make it. I’m vegan so that means I can’t consume anything that comes from an animal but at the same time I don’t want to be disrespectful because I know it’s rude to decline. Right now I’m not sure what’s the right thing to do. Should I tell them that I’m vegan? Will they understand me? Will people think I’m rude for declining the offer? I would love to visit the gurdwara again but this is the thing that’s holding me back. |
