No, not really. You see none of the Guru's nor their wives or daughter's wore tickas. In Sikhi, we don't belive in such traditions because if you think about it, if somebody removes your ticka or it gets washed off, will you have immediately disgraced yourself or broken a relationship. Sikh people don't consider it important. (Please forgive me if I said anything wrong)... But you can, I don't think anybody will really say anything.
