Can you explain meaning of shabad: 'Maas Maas kar murakh jhagre' for me?

Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki Fathe.

Well first of all Maas means meat or flesh as in animal flesh.

Murakh = fool, jhagre = argue,

so to sum up the first line it means fools argue about meat and flesh

gyan = knowledge wisdome, dhyan = mind or meditation or focus, nahi = no or not, janee = know,

so the second line which actully is part of the first line means (i think) the fools know nothing about knowledge or meditation.

kaun = who, maas = meat, saag = spinach but in this case I think that saag means vegetables, kahave = say,

so basically that last line means that what is meat and what exactly do you call vegetables and what is it exactly that leads to sin? so basically this line is a question.

this shabad is written by guru nanak dev ji and is a perfect example of what guru ji is trying to say about eating meant and people who consider themselves higher than everyone else because they are strictly vegetarian yet they have nothing inside. we are all made from flesh.

Only challenge is how to know that I am not body and I am soul and the procedure to know is dharma or medication the moment one proceed to this will come to know that everything is waste except this knowledge Dhan Dhan Shri Guru Nanak dev ji

some non vegetarian try to justify their choice of food as meat with this poem of Guru Nanak. Some vegetarians may not like this kirtan as it make them feel meat or vegetables both fine.

But the saying of Guru Nanak in this poem is not about the kind of food. It is about not knowing the true self , not being aware of the being of god and yet try to claim superior by choice of kinds of food habit. Fools thinks they are higher toward god because their food practice is superior than other group or communty. They fight and even kill each other in the issues on meat or no meat. If they meditate look for gyaana inside they can see what Guru Nanak is pointing at.
