Prayer has nothing to do with hair. If it did, the prayers of Buddhist monks would mean nothing. These are two separate issues. The issue has to do with your inner connection to your own infinity. Here's a video which may help you understand prayer better: What is Prayer?

Once a fruit breaks and falls from the tree all it can do is rot

but can never be connected back to the tree again.

It is for the fruits benefit to stay connected to the tree not the other way around.

The question you need to ask yourself is why you want to cut your hair? and what is the problem you are having now that cutting the hair will fix ?

isnt it causing guilt or shame by not cutting hair. person can still be connected even without hair. i dont see why should make things complicated to cause stressful thinking over it.

When Sikhs do Ardas or prayer in Gurudwaras they say the same Ardas in each and every Gurudwara in the World in which they say that "Sikha nu Sikhi daan,Kes dan meaning hair or sabat soorat sikhi daan".If you believe in Ardas of Sikhs then should not cut your hair as it will be a hypocrisy on your part rather you become a Khalsa to become close to the Guru or Waheguru. You are going on the wrong path you have to become Gurmukh from Manmukh rather the opposite way.Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh
