Q 1. Are ladies allowed as Panj Pyare?

Apart from the above question,

Q 2. Can ladies be appointed as Granthis, Head Granthis and as Jathedar of the Akal Takhat?

Q 3. Why ladies are not allowed to perform the Kirtan at the Golden Temple?

We are living in 21st century and Sikhism does says that men and women are equal, then why the management of most of the Gurdwaras worldwide are handled by Sikh men only????????

Questions one and two have been answered. As for question three. I remember Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji discussing this matter (women being allowed to do ishnaan seva and kirtan within Sri Darbar Sahib) with a sevadar at Harimandir Sahib. When pressed on the matter, the sevadar finally said "If we allow women to do seva and kirtan within, then the men will not be able to control themselves." To me that comment says a lot more about the men than the women. What a sad, old-fashioned attitude. I believe that all three of your points can, will, and in fact, must change. Our children and their children will not tolerate it.
