Whatever is written in Bani is Guru Ji's will, just keep reading banis and understand them. Also when you are not sure what to do just think what would a son or daughter of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Mahraj do.

Just think of basic Sikh principles:
- Kirat Karo - Work hard and honestly
- Wand Ke Chhako - Share what you have with the needy
- Naam Jappo - Always remember God throughout the day
Following our own will leads us to become Manmukhs, and we induce suffering on ourselves as we get caught up in the illusion. But if its a mistake, the Guru will tell us off but he will always hug us and embrace us.
