Q. what is meditation to you & Can you describe the experience of it? a: Meditation of Naam; is the method to conquer our Maan(Mind). By taking Amrit from Five GurSikhs in Gurudwara with Rehat. Five GurSikhs gives us Gurmantre i.e,. WaheGuru. The Creator Lord God has created this world; we live in is called Maya. Our Mind is filled with this five thieves also called as evil. The group of five evils comprises Kam (lust), Krodh (rage), Lobh (greed), Moh (attachment) and Ahankar (ego) in Punjabi; translated into English these words mean lust/addiction, wrath/rage/anger, materialistic greed, attachment/worldly infatuation and ego/pride. It is the primary aim of the practising Sikh to subdue these five inner evils and render them useless. The actions of one's mind should be above, beyond and without interference from these five inner urges. It's a Sikh's duty to not base their life subject to these five passions of the human heart. To live a life in devotion to the Almighty Waheguru in positive Spirits (Chardikala) and in His Mercy (Hukam). To remember God in Naam Simran, engaged in community service (Sewa) and to practise the Five Virtues. By taking these positive steps, the Five Evils are overcome and rendered ineffective. By adopting this daily routine and discipline the person's actions become pure (Nirmal) and rewarding to the soul and the negativity of the person is removed. (Wikipedia: Five Thieves notes)

Panj vikar separate us from Lord God, by reciting of Waheguru, Waheguru, Waheguru; and not thinking about this panj vikar in Mind by concentrating and Listening to Naam only, we connect us with WaheGuru. This is the true meaning of WaheGuru.

Yoga is for Body only, Naam is for Mind. Yoga only makes you healthy and does nothing more but only by meditating Naam, you meet with Lord God.

Q. How often do you meditate & Do you always meditate the same way? a. GurSikh must Meditate recite Gurmantre & Nitneem Banis between 3 a.m to 6 a.m daily. Nitneem means Daily Payers.

Q. what do you think happened to Guru Nanak when he disappeared for 3 days? a. Something wonderful which is unspeakable; Guru Nanak dev ji reached Saach-Khand (Heaven). Their Guru Nanak Dev ji sung Hymns Mool Mantar - 1 Oangkaar Satnaam; first stanza of Guru Granth Sahib, Aarti - gagan mein thaal. Also, First Stanza from Rehras Sahib - so dar tera keha;

When Guru Nanak Dev ji had finished, a voice was heard: "O Nanak, to him upon whom My look of kindness resteth, be thou merciful, as I too shall be merciful. My name is "Parmeshwar" (God), the primal Brahm, and you are "Parmeshwar Guru" (Divine Guru).

i.e,. Guru Nanak Dev Ji is neither God nor Human-Being. He is universal Divine Guru.

After coming out of the river, For a long time, he said nothing. Finally, when he did speak, he said, "There is no Hindu and no Musalman." From that day on, he spread the message to everyone that all are equal, and equally loved by God, no matter how they worship him. He also taught that the best way to show their love for God is by praising His Name.

Q. Is it ok to meditate with others? Does that change the experience? a. mil saadhasangath bhaj kaeval naam |1| Join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; vibrate and meditate on the Jewel of the Naam. Guru ji said many times in Guru Granth Sahib ji that with Saadh Sangat, you will be saved along with Saadh Sangat; all together will cross the terrifying world-ocean.

Q. Is meditation the same whether you are in the Gurdwara or not? a. Inside Gurudwara in presence of Guru Granth Sahib ji energy is most positive, with Saadh Sangat only meditate on the Naam; Do not Gossip vikar or else

Guru Govind singh ji said, One who Gossip vikar in presence of Guru Granth Sahib ji and pollutes the Positive enegry will go to Hell.

Q. how do you see WaheGuru influencing your life & How does meditation bring you closer to God? a. 1 Oangkaar Satgur Prasad; By the Grace of Waheguru; we Sikhs Practice meditation of Waheguru Naam and do Nitneem Banis daily. Sometimes later you will experience Peace. Anand (Peace) is inner experience. Happiness / sorrow are outside experiences. Happiness and or Sorrow comes & goes. by accepting it as Gods Will and practicing Naam. One Finds Anand inner Peace. during Happiness your body doesn't react it, also during sorrow your body doesn't react it. because Peace stays always with naam simran. You can experience that you don't enjoy/desire for another woman/man, no love with worldly goods and many more experience can't be expressed in writings. This is the right Path for Heaven (to meet with God). you get true Gyan (true knowledge from inside). You can see all are the Creation of One God. you start to love everyone equally, no hate, no ego, no lust, etc....
