Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fathe.

I see your point friend but think. they weren't the ones that were hurting their bodies it was the tyrants. they would rather give up their lives than cut their hair. it was not suicide as many say it was. it was love for sikhism and love for their guru. you are right that this body is a gift from god but think about this. if the singhs ahd singhnia had given in just to save thir bodies then i really don't think that this religion would be called Sikhism and the Khalsa would not exist. everything that our guru's taught us would have been a lie. Khalsa are brave they are SaintSoldiers.

now think about this:

lets say someone you really love is about to get killed and you can stop it by giving your life. what would you do?

would you give your life for that person or will you live with the regret that you could have saved them?

its the same thing, with when the Sikhs were told eihter to convert to islam and cut their hair and all that stuff or die. they all chose death because they were in love with Waheguru and they couldn't bare to see the disappointment in their guru's face.

I hope that helped and i'm really sorry for any mistakes.
