When Buddha got enlightnment in my belief what he saw was that he has merged in infinity which we call as god.Like we say that we are the part of God meaning that we are a drop in the ocean.But in reality we are a ocean in a drop.When we say that everything is God or everything is me meaning that the whole universe is me as whole universe is God and God and me are one but we realize this when we have become enlightened.So what this thing practically means it means that when you realize that everything is me then you start working for the welfare of the world or everything that why in sikhism it is said Nanak nam chardikala tere bhane sarbat da bhala.To become enlightened you have to do simran,path etc.But when you will have self-realization or God realization then in actual you will start sharing with whatever you have with others.
