Shabad Guru is for all time, not for any particular Age. Shabad Guru existed before Nanak. When Guru Nanak addressed the siddhas they asked him "Who is your Guru?' and he replied "Shabad is my Guru." Shabad Guru lies beyond limitations of time or space.
