Try starting off with small amounts of time doing simran and build up. Also, I find listening to kathas to be very inspiring- there are lots online in English and Punjabi. They tell us about the meanings of Gurbani and the purpose of our life. That gives us guidance. Try also reading one page Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji per day and understanding the meaning. Taking small steps will help a lot.
