Is it compulsory to get Dastaar Ceremony done for girls before they wear one ? Or they can just wear anytime after receiving Amrit from Guru sahib ?

Wahgeuru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh. I always wanted to wear Dastaar or keski . But as I've already told that my parent's are less into sikhi. They did support me to receive Amrit but are not ready to allow me for Dastaar. Because there's no one Amritdhari in my family except me. And a women with Dastaar is a way far thing. I want to wear . I want to protect my Kesh which are God gifted and are a part of 5'K . My dad doesn't want me to . If i do he might be not happy. His reason might be my future. I really don't understand what to do. I carry chunni everywhere. But it still doesn't complete me whereas Dastaar would . I've read alot about Rehatnama's made by our Guru Sahib. But I'm helpless at this moment :( i don't want to hurt my parents. I truly don't care what my future would be because it's in Guru Sahib's hand and i have a believe on him. But my parent's would get worried. For them it's like i start asking for such things which are impossible to be done. I always decide tomorrow I'll wear. But then i just stop. Which is ny weakness. Please someone who would advice me what should be done. Should i listen to my parents for now or just get done with what i want.

Bhul chuk maaf !!

2018-02-06 05:05:31 -0500 asked a question Can I become an Amritdhari ?

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa , Waheguru ji ki Fateh . My name's Manjit Kaur and I'm 20 . I'm from such a family who hasn't taken Amrit yet. But I want to. I want to walk on the path of our Guru Sahib's teaching. I want to be a sikhni. But my parents don't allow. Not sure why but 80% the reason might be marraige. As I've already said that we are not amritdharis. So it's hard for them to find one of that kind. And if we see today, it's like more chances to get rejected due to facial hair . So i think this might be their reason . I don't want to disappoint them. It's just that I'm not getting any solution. What shall i do . How shall i convince them. If i become an Amritdhari with waheguru ji's kirpa that would be the biggest blessing and gift I'm waiting for . Please suggest me !
