This post is a wiki.
Anyone with karma >100 is welcome to improve it.
Everyone has an inner voice. We call it intuition. It is your "radar." It lets you know which way to go way before your mind can kick in and start confusing you. Your intuition can see the way in 9 seconds or less. The mind is way too slow to rely on it for guidance.
That said, how can you access your intuition at all times?
You MUST meditate daily. That is the only thing that works. Here are two meditations you can use.
- MEDITATION FOR GURU'S INNER GUIDANCE
A) Sit with straight spine in easy pose (legs crossed.) Make the hands into a cup with the palms facing up. Leave a little fish-like hole between the sides of the little fingers.
Bow the head forward over the palms. Look into the palms with the eyes almost closed.
Inhale in 10 sections. i.e., break your inhale into ten small sniffs totaling one complete breath. Each section has the silent, mental mantra WHAHO associated with each part. So you silently repeat WAHO ten times, once with each sniff. Then exhale in ten sections with the mantra GURU on each part.
Continue this for 11 minutes. Finish by inhaling, holding the breath for 10 seconds and then and exhale powerfully.
B) Then sit up straight and chant WHAHO aloud 8 times and then chant GURU aloud 8 times:
WHAHO WHAHO GURU GURU
WHAHO WHAHO GURU GURU
WHAHO WHAHO GURU GURU
WHAHO WHAHO GURU GURU
This mantra is chanted in a monotone. Continue jaap for 5 to 11 minutes.
COMMENTS:
Build your practice of this meditation slowly up to 31 minutes. At times when the path of truth and clarity seems lost, calm yourself and still your mind, then the path will come to you. In this meditation, the head is out as if to be sacrificed and given to the Guru.
To live life according to the Guru's guidance through the inner truth is essential. If you do not, you will have doubts. If doubts are not removed, then frustration comes in. Frustration, when not released, leads to anger. Anger then leads to destructive action either to the Self, others, or both. To stop this vicious cycle, create the habit to still the Self and ask questions of your own higher consciousness. This meditation can develop that capacity.
2.MEDITATION TO BUILD YOUR INTUITION (4 Stroke Breath)
Sit with straight spine. Interlace your fingers (all except the Jupiter Fingers i.e., index fingers) which point up. Cross your thumbs. Eyes are 1/10 open.
Bring your fingertips just under your nose so you can see the tips of your Jupiter fingers.
INHALE -Form lips into an "O" shape and inhale through the mouth in 4 parts.
EXHALE – Once powerfully through the nostrils.
Use your diaphragm on the INHALE.
Continue for 16 minutes.
To End
INHALE: Close your eyes and stretch your arms out straight to the sides - palms face up. Hold breath in for 20 seconds.
EXHALE
INHALE: Close ... (more)
