No one can tell another what is sufficient for that person. Your mom feels responsible for you and is focused on your academic performance. Your daily sadhana is always first priority, but you still have to perform in the "material world" and be excellent. Both are required. If that means going to bed earlier and getting up before your mom, then that is what you do. Don't lie to her. Be loving, firm, smiling and kind. Speak gently with sweetness and then follow through. Don't try to manipulate your home situation or argue with your mom. The trick of life is to find out who you really are, not who others want you to be, and then purposefully be that with joy.
