The only investment that will always be safe and will yield profit forever is to feed a hungry saint.

Rest all is futile, even Bill Gates will leave all his money here.

2019-11-29 10:25:11 -0600 answered a question God help... I’m so screwed

You don't feel pain if some unknown is screwed

You feel a little pain if someone little close to you is screwed

You feel a lot of pain if someone a very dear to is screwed

You are devastated by pain if you yourself are screwed

Only if you think very deeply on this you will understand that people are getting screwed everyday and everywhere. But it only hurts when you attach the "I" to it the more closer something is to "I" the more pain it will cause. You cannot stop screwness but you can stop the "I" and not be in pain.

2019-11-18 19:25:49 -0600 answered a question Sikh prayer for husbands long life please

Neither does a human come to life with his will, Neither does he leave with his will.

Instead of thinking about your husband's death you should think how you can better enjoy life with him till he is still alive.

Dying Suhagan or not is not in your hands, so worrying about it is futile, enjoying life while you have it is in your hand, you can control it.

Guru Nanak Dev ji has said;

God puts suffering in life just like a potter puts pot on stove, in some he pours milk some are left on stove forever,

Some suffer and learn the purpose of life, some keep suffering till the end,

Suffering forces one to wake up from a dream.

2019-11-13 09:41:50 -0600 answered a question one fundamental question

because you are Thinking in a first person perspective, see how many times you used the word "I" in your question

Think of your life as a movie, whose script is pre-written and you are the actor/actress . Bad things in life are unacceptable to the actor, every actor wants to be always happy, But that would make a very lame movie, Any good movie you pick is a hit because it had tragedy in it like Titanic, Pursuit of happiness etc.

There is a Sanskrit quote "Go with the flow, don't resist it" : Keep flowing in the river of time, trying to go against the flow is waste of time and energy

2019-11-09 10:53:55 -0600 answered a question feeling desperate

The problem is you have "listened or did paath as I planned to do" But never understood what it says.

Problems in life will always be there, Paath cannot fix that. only thing Paath (if you really understand what its saying) will do is act as a pain killer.

Suffering and joy are two faces of same coin, one cannot exist without another. If you have never suffered in life you will not know what happiness is and vice -versa. Better to accept and live in reality

2019-11-08 13:52:35 -0600 answered a question Supposing one of my terminally ill maternal uncle dies in the month of my wedding, should we postpone the marriage in respect like Hiindus?

Death is nothing bad, its just end of allotted time.

Humans are born with a fear of death to prevent them from committing suicide or keep the cautious of harm

If your uncle was terminally ill and suffering , death was best thing that could have happened to him, he is not ill anymore. Since he was terminally ill death was inevitable.

The best thing to do would be to continue with marriage and make it simple to show your condolences and instead spend that money on langar for the poor (in name of the deceased) instead of a big fat marriage.

You can read about it here ->

I don't understand whether this is a question or a statement or you are just sharing knowledge or want opinion , you are going in all directions at once

if are asking about nature and God then the answer is

The idiot gardener chops down trees to perform worship

he doesn't know that the leaves he is plucking has God in it and feeds it to the lifeless stone statue thinking that it is God.

2019-11-04 10:14:27 -0600 answered a question What do you imagine while praying

Q: What do you imagine while praying

A: Nothing, Just like you are imagining nothing when you just woke up, if you are imagining then you aren't praying.

Guru -> Farsi word which means from darkness to light

God -> Is a term made up by people who fail to understand the truth they believe that there is a man in the sky running the universe, in Sikhism its called "Ik Onkar" means that everything is connected and part of only 1 system. what you give you recieve, as per your actions. Nobody can leave this system no one can enter from outside you die and live in this.
