Please see the following answer. I am trying to given information about Android application programs.

1) Apps that load but NOT run do NOT slow your phone down.

2) You can see which apps use battery by looking in settings / about phone / battery usage

3) Android preloads apps to anticipate your needs. Killing apps only makes them reload later.

4) Task killers will actually make your system WORSE, because it's FIGHTING with the OS (one kills apps, the other loads apps, so your phone's always doing something, thus using up power)

5) You are thinking like a Windows user about apps taking up the phone memory. Memory is meant to be USED, and Android OS is using it. Stop worrying about it.

I think you get some idea about Android application programs.
