2020-02-21 09:39:59 -0500 asked a question Sex before marriage for a divorced lady?

So I saved myself for my husband during my first marriage and waited to have sex until after Laavan as I felt that was the right thing to do. But my husband left me after marriage without closure. All scriptures around the world refrain Couples from having pre-marital sex for successful marriage. I feel like I followed that rules and still ended up getting divorced. I lost my virginity to my ex husband and he was the first love of ny life in true sense. What is the ground rule for a divorced woman in terms of engaging in sex before marriage second time around. Because now I feel like my ex husband married me for sex, used me and left me although I thought he waited for me till marriage. Now, I feel like I am doing the same thing second time, making the guy wait till marriage as ai think it’s right in God’s eyes and not a sin, but what if he’s lusting me too and ai end up in same situation? What do I do? Like this guy says he really loves me, but what if he marries me and wait tikk marriage like first husband and do same thing? Is it better for me to do it before marriage so if he still sticks around, that means our relationship is more than just physical intimacy. I mean we bond other ways too but this is something really intimate.all religions say wait but I feel like that’s applicable for girls while are still virgin. And i am not anymore. Does Sikhi or God have a verse or rule for divorced women whose husbands abandoned them?

2018-12-10 14:34:07 -0500 commented answer Is getting up at 12:00 AM midnight and doing "Ishnaan" and starting nitnem around 12:30AM, is that Amrit vela too? or it is 3AM-6:AM (last pehr of the night)?

Thanks and no particular reason. I guess I just did it ishnaan in punjabi meaning taking bath/shower. No reasons really.

Basically, I have heard 12:00aM- 6:00AM is amrit Vela, but I also heard it's the last "pehr" of the night before sunrise, so 3-6:00AM. When exactly is it? And yes, anytime you do paath is amrit vela, I have heard that too, but I know there are very specifics verses from SGGS indicating as waking up early in the morning. I am confused about the exact timing?

2018-12-04 17:58:34 -0500 commented question Can you do "Chandi di Vaar" paath after japji sahib, jaap sahib after 8:00 AM? if you can't get up at "amritvela"?

And do you have to be "amritdhari" to recite this bani? Is that a must?

I don't understand speculations around this bani. It created bir ras but if we are not going to any war, can we still do it? People say different things - is it true or just to create confusion? Can we do this paath on regular basis - any specific maryada around it?

2018-11-30 13:08:53 -0500 asked a question If you go to Hindu temple and not necessarily bow down to "devi, devte" but sit down in pooja and pray to One Supreme Formless God, is that acceptable or sin?

Basically, if you go visit Hindu temple, but you think of "one" God. If you have to go there with a friend, and respect "God/Goddesses" as well, because they all are created from Akal Purkh as well and mentioned in Gurbani as well. So if you sit in pooja, but remember "one" God during the prayer and pray to that one God in you heart throughout the pooja, is that okay or is that a sin or against Gurmat?

2018-11-29 13:13:20 -0500 asked a question If someone did us bad and Karma takes care of everything, then we wouldn't need "Court", law and order in society?

In simpler words, If someone does bad, there's law we have to follow but if we think, No revenge or no teaching lesson so this person doesn't do this again to another person, and should leave everything on "God", Karma will take care of it, then technically, we don't need "court system", law and order in society to punish evil doers as God will take care of it. Is it bad, if we actually want to teach that person a lesson, so they taste their own medicine instead of leaving it on "God". After all, God only helps those who helps themselves. Basically, we are just getting even with that person.

2018-11-29 08:56:49 -0500 commented answer What is "Sopurkh" shabad paath for?

2018-11-29 08:52:08 -0500 asked a question If we do paath around 8:30AM-9:00 AM, it's not "Amrit Vela", but do we get same benefits?

With waheguru's grace, one day I can get up at Amrtivela and do paath, but if I am not at that level yet, I think God still listen to our prayers b/c God's omnipresent. Do we not reap same benefits as "Amritvela" prayers?
