2013-08-26 03:43:32 -0500 answered a question I am not an Alcoholic

Thank you Veer Ji for your encouraging words. A social drink is to be go to a bar on the odd occasion which is very rare. I dont go clubbing, I prefer to keep away from that sort of enviroment. I would still like to have the odd drink but havent touched one yet as I am afraid it will be ongoing. So for that reason I would prefer to stay away. I am willing and strong enough to keep it this way, although I find when around certain people I want to drink to build my confidence so I am able to block the uneccessary things that I dont want to take in as I am sensitive if someone says something to me. I know its no excuse, thats why the next function I attend I will choose to be myself without conssuming any alcohol.

I am sure I can better mysef this way.

Thanks again

2013-08-21 04:29:23 -0500 asked a question I am not an Alcoholic

I am not a big drinker, but tend to have the odd drink every now and then.

I was experiencing a few problems and found it hard to deal with life and people, so I turned to drinking qute regularly. It lasted for about three months and have stopped for about three weeks. I still have this urge to drink but listening to the shabads in the morning I find peace.

Would it be a problem to have a social drink? Why do Sikhs choose to drink?

I still would do my parht and listen to the shabads, but does that make it wrong to drink??

2013-08-10 23:10:29 -0500 answered a question Tanveer Singh three year old child

Ssa,

Hope Tanveer gets well and home soon.

Try stay strong as he will need to see his parents cope the best way possible. Children are aware of most things at such an age.

Hope you are all able to get through this difficult stage in your lives and God will help with the help of our prayers.

All the best and get well soon Tanveer!!

2013-08-10 23:06:53 -0500 answered a question young adult daughter betrayed our trust

Ssa,

I would like to say that it musn't be easy for you all at this moment in time and the feeling of being depressed is just making things worse.

I hope you have a good understading and realtioship with your daughter to make her aware of how you are feeling and dealing with your troubles.

I would recommend being open with her and telling her how you feel and what damage it is causing. Children at such an age tend to make wrong choices in order to learn from their mistakes.

As for generations are passing younger girls are facing much more difficulty to fit in with society, communication is the key as you aren't going to know any further information without discussing it first and then make a decision together to see how you can get through this the nest way.

Hope this has helped

2013-08-10 22:55:50 -0500 asked a question I could do with some advice on how to be a better person?

Ssa Group,

I feel really arkward doing this as I have never really been 100% true to my faith. I still am not just now but try to go Gurdwara on the odd occasion and chant Waheguru from time to time.

The reason I am on here today is because I was speaking to a member of the family who has noticed the change in my attitude towards life and the people around me. I am usually a happy, bubbly person and loves to see the world smile.

Every morning I would wash my face fives and chant Waheguru, although this one morning I felt really scared and tried to stop myself from saying it as if I wasn't meant to. Since then I have stopped and haven't felt right since, I stopped making parshaad on a Sunday and stopped doing my Parth.

I am really worried as I now feel I am causing problems for my husband and his family, I also have two daughters.

I was an ex smoker and drug user and haven't been the most decent of people, but I changed majority of those things since getting married and became respectful to my faith. I feel I have lost that now and really want to go back to the intentions I had, I keep leting God down and feel ashamed.

What advice can you give? Please
