2018-02-27 19:09:22 -0500 | asked a question | Chaur sewa and Pakarma I was doing chaur sewa at the gurdwara. When I finished, I was chided for not doing a pakarma and for leaving from the right rather than the left. The person mentioned something about inviting bad karma or something along these lines. Did I commit a sin? I never meant any disrespect. From my understanding, ritualistic behaviors and superstitions have no place in Sikhi. I am reminded of stories of Guru Nanak in Haridwar and Mecca from my childhood where Guruji threw water in the opposite direction and slept with his feet towards Qaba. Kindly advise. |
