when i listen to katha i reallise that we kind of show the other casts or religions infirior ...like for example, saying hinduhs do moortie poojha ( soory if i wrote that wrong) and we say thats bad in some way...and the guruji forbade moortie poojah.And that they dont see that god can be somewhere else than a statue or picture. in my opinion its wrong of us to critisies the way others pray ...i dont know if they are right or wrong. i belive that every religion has there own way to pray and they all have a good way to pray.

I like a boy, he's 3 yrs older than me, we have never talked to each other but he knows that I like him. Recently we've been chating on facebook. He's been supper nice to me ... So I decided that I could tell him that I like him... I did but after that he stopped messaging me and talking to me. For a while I've been in depression and foolishly decided to cut myself . My good friend told me to take a hukamnama , so I did but I can't understand gurbani , I don't want to ask my mother because I'm afraid that she will find out why I asked her or that I would forcefully lie to her.the boy I like took Amrit, and I respect that. I have no intention of being in a relationship but I have feelings for him. I want to talk to him face to face but he's never alone at school, I do not want to embarrass him in front of his friend. I don't know what to do anymore ... I like him, he does not. I want to be religious to but I have no idea where to start. Is this wrong of me ?what should I do? Please help me and thank you

Wjkk, wjkf As a person who is not gursikh, I would say if you shave or trim , than I see no goal really in keeping long hair ... Alot of girls think that by just keeping the hair long on they're head it will make guruji " happy " ... But they shave and trim they're hair ... To me that's all nonsense. Guruji and god will only be happy if you accept the body you are givin and if you keep it properly ... If you see a promising future by keeping your hair than I would encourage you to keep you kes ~ hope this helps Wjkk, wjkf

Wjkk, wjkf Well I could be wrong , I'm a high school student and I learnt in science that a neucleas is made of protons and neutrons , they form the neucleas ... In a way they are really strongly Bonded that you cannot take them appart ,so In A way a family should be the same... Strong ! I really want to know how to tell if people are believing in black magic. I saw my father wearing a light grey thin ribon around his left arm and a thin white ribbon around his waist... Also my brother has been scared a lot lately, as in he will wake in the middle of the night crying and yelling for help. He can't sleep alone and he has a constant fear of being in public and meeting new people. My grades an hes lowered a lot since we realized my dad belives in this stuff, but we are not entirely sure about it. That's basically why I posted this question. I know how you feel ... What I think the probleme is that you need some time alone to think and meditate ... Go on a trip or just go to the gurdwara every day ... For now bein with people will make you vulnerable so just stay alone till you gain enough confidence to face the world .

And when u say " rough childhood " just forget about it. Remember this " I laugh at my past because I laugh at hate ... Enjoy your current life because life is great "

And if your family don't understand you ... It's okay ! No one understands me and i dont mind lol...Same way u can't understand everyone . And the whole marriage thing , just wait till the perfect so to comes to you ~ your wonderful just the way you are kay ?

I think you should start doing path ... Little by little you'll get used to it . Another thing do some activities that will make you feel good, like a sport or something like that. My question is , when women where a turban , is the turban size important or not. Right now I am having probs with close ones because they say that my turban is too big, but the truth is that I have long hair and that my turban is only two meters long ... I'm not amritdhari, and I'm only 14 but I've realized that I have anger management issues, I can't ever control my anger. I always tend to get irritated and angry for small reasons that don't make sense, like I can't take a joke. I feel right now that my anger is what I depend on in life, like I won't do anything unless I got pisses off and decided to do it to prove my point or something like that.

Does any one know what path or things I can do to manage my anger.

My parents believe in superstitions like : not cutting your nails at night and to not wash your hair on certain days and to not say certain things at certain times of the day ... Etc . Don't get me wrong, I love my mother and father but I don't personally believe in superstitions nor bad luck . My parents aren't religious . My question is : how do I convince my parents in stopping to believe in superstitions?

Well... I used to be like you, and still am a little open about my situation and feelings about certain things ... I started writing a journal so that I could write down all my feelings, thoughts and secrets. When you write it down you don't feel like you need to tell some one what you are feeling .

Also the weirdest thing I do is talk to myself ... Like I mean for hours :) pretend that your having a tea party with guruji and just talk ... Hope this helps and thank you for your wonderful question

You should just be gratefull that god still blesses you . God must have other plans for you . In a certain way (not to be offensive) but your "father " is not obligated to "love" you . And don't take anything he does personally ... Be strong and depend on yourself ... And hey ... I love you so cheer up and smile ! :)
