In sikhi saints are born as well which they have a much different lifestyle, so it doesn't only involve householders. Saints that can meditate for months without worldly stuff.

If you were to describe a all-day meditator, would that involve dissociation?

2018-04-10 13:41:52 -0500 asked a question Disscociation and spirituality

How does disscociation play a role, is it positive or something else. Disscociation is like an isolation in which you are not connected to much of worldy things and have your own views and belief systems. In sikhism wouldnt that be considered an avastha or bhagti earnings if it is occuring for the highest good? In phychiatry it gets stated as a problem and due to trauma the body stops responding to certain things or disconnects... What are your thoughts on this?

2018-04-01 23:12:23 -0500 answered a question Nitnem steps

It may be rather helpful to describe the steps you take instead so it's easier to see what you essentially do and if anything is needed to be done further or not. It would be helpful to state anything else about you as well in regards with age or other factors. Anyhow, Cold showers usually just help someone get more alert and its good for mental strength as well. You can try buidling up slowly and see how it goes for you although it's not entirely needed.

Beyond this, you can listen to some katha too which gets in to a greater expansion of helping with tips of waking up early and how to keep a solid diet etc...

2018-03-25 02:38:13 -0500 answered a question What are requirements for Amrit as a female?

Yes they wear a turban, you can watch some YouTube videos for help on how to tie it.

A kirpan is requirement as well.

Yes you have to stop eating egg and fish. I wouldn't worry a single bit of the nutrition rather think of the good karma you are doing by no longer consuming an animal. Towards nutrition, you can take a vitamin supplement; if you're talking of Omega 3 have a look at Flaxseed Oil which is a great vegan alternative.

It would be helpful to make up your mindset, learn gurbani, visit gurdwara, listen to some katha on YouTube or in-person or which is gyan (knowledge) you know serves you for the highest good. Have faith. Lastly, I feel the YouTube searches will be really helpful as many many sikhs have covered topics in-depth.

I sometimes try explaining things related with energy for a better understanding but trying to explain it in punjabi how would you define it? Is there a particular term? Also, even for words like empaths which feel energy. How would you desrcibe that?

Sorry to hear of the tough time you've went through but i'm sure your positive teachings towards your kids while pay off and make you happy. Being alone may seem tough at times but I highly suggest you first ask your mind if you're ready to do this, look at the possibilities within your own family first. Caste does not matter in this case as other factors would play a larger role. Do realize the age difference would create some changes and adjustments, it would be important to know if she is fully ready. If you feel all is well and your kids are going to agree then things could work out. Look at the outcomes positively and see if it works out to happen. Do notice her behaviour or other aspects of her to make sure she will be the one to bring happiness. Trust in your intuition and follow from there. Best of luck :)

That may provide him with an indication and you'll greatly notice his behaviour too or see how responds.

That would be highly beneficial for you to discuss about it then. Perhaps, you can mention some marriage talks (in general) and open up from there saying "I don't know i'm interested yet" or "haven't come across somebody" if that helps.

It is good to see that you had pure intentions towards him. If you feel he is showing some signs of interest, what in particular have you noticed? Sometimes it could be generally said as well, you may have thought of it differently. However, if the signs are clear and present, then I suggest you do try opening up more about it and telling him. This would be up to you to decide as you know him best but it would be greatly helpful for both of you. Try to include something really positive towards him as well that'll uplift him and make him feel happy and not down after you do reveal that truth. Best of luck :)

2017-11-11 01:20:44 -0500 asked a question Insights on faith and open discussion-- briefly covers science

Something that builds faith would entirely first consist noticing there are many different forms of awareness levels and consciousness/ thinking. When you come to realize somebody who constantly directs their attention to things that are not positive and then tries to reflect upon a higher vibration; the mind probably won't pull towards it. It is important to begin practicing that frequency (meditation) to then realize how many things just instantly disappear (worries) and when we connect towards the one and keep expanding (blessings). In sikhism or any religion, you'll find MANY proofs and beliefs that keep on inspiring but why not along that process start working yourself towards it and become that inspirational story? Also, even the greatest scientists like Albert Einstein or Isaac Newton had clear beliefs on existence of god and Albert always felt he can only discover so much because he noticed there was a force much greater and bigger, above him that he could not control or have power over. The minds of these scientists were also higher vibrations which lead to different thinking. If you get distracted by todays typical scientists or the general theory of some things, you may end up confused because some have only the degrees to show for but no actual higher knowledge of true wisdom or match frequency or vibration. I hope this shed some light and hope anybody that reads this starts connecting with god and releasing the doubts and disbeliefs triggered by media, science or unfaithful people.

I would love to hear any thoughts or if someone would like me to expand on anything here :)

Sorry if any mistakes were made,

2017-11-11 01:06:06 -0500 asked a question Auras, chakras, empath etc... beliefs?

Hello,

I wanted to know if sikhism believed in such things as chakras, auras or certain people being empaths and how energies can affect people etc... I've read about some of the riddi siddhi and noticed it does relate with the "clair abilities". Also, if one is a empath or has some abilities is that highly because of good karam or spiritual practice?

Mata saraswati is known as the goddess of knowledge and intelligence. There are some mantras that can be chanted which help students improve memory and overall in their education. I don't see it as a black magic just that I wanted to know if it was okay to chant it... you can look some of them up.
