So this response is about 4 years later, and you may not see it, or even need/want the input anymore, but I felt the need to respond. Dealing with trichotillomania myself, understand that it is a control impulse disorder - not some vice that you are giving in to. While I can acknowledge and agree that bani and simran are always helpful and can be a source of relief and peace in our lives as Sikhs, the commenters who suggested these may not have dealt with the disorder themselves or related OCD or mental health issues. As for it being a kurehat or not, I'm not a scholar or gyani, and can't/won't advise as to that. As for the trich itself, I suggest finding a support group (if it is still an issue that you deal with) or seeking help through an experienced therapist. The issues as to Sikhi can cause a lot of inner turmoil. It is something I have dealt with myself for many years. The fact that you care and want(ed) to find an answer counts for something. Keep learning and trying. The command for that is in our name itself. "Sikh". I pray that you have already found an answer and some peace, and I hope that my response was helpful.
