When I was muslim I imagined Kaa'ba in Makkah or Solomon's temple or sometimes I concentrated on the words I recite. I do it even now I focus on the words I am acting, depending on the day. On the difference between Guru and God can tell you what little I understood. Our Holy Gurus were in full communion with Akal Purakh, they destroyed their ego and became one with God, they were the will of Waheguru Ji.
