My dad has always told cousins that if they are going t give rumalas that they should not have gurbani on them because we burn the old rumalas and if there is gurbani on them then you are basically burning gurbani as well. If i was you i would either go to an elder and ask them about what to do first and if you can't find anyone just burn them with respect.

2015-09-07 06:59:52 -0500 answered a question why is turban a necessity ? wen all guru's just had a round parna

That is completely false. All the gurus wore a cotton keski, we are all supposed to wear a keski not a pagh. Sikhi is a practical religion, if the gurus didn't wear a cotton keski them selves why would they tell us to. It's like a parent telling a child to do simran when the parent doesn't do simran. I am only 13 years old so this might not be the best answer. Hope this helped.

2015-09-07 06:46:27 -0500 answered a question Why do half the modern sikh men stick/tie thier beard ?

To be honest with you I don't know who started that trend and why they follow it. None of the gurus had their beards tied up. If you are a doctor, dentist or any occupation that if you have your beard not tied up it is a safety hazard then yes tie up your beard but only for work. Maybe the reason why people tie up their beard is because they want to fit in with the others, when the gurus made us stand out, they made it so that if you look in a crowd of hundreds or thousands of people you would be able to spot a sikh from miles away because, the gurus gave us an identity. This may not be the best answer, hope this helped.

Life is never perfect, there are ups and downs. For me the best way to get anand is to sing shabads with my family because I live in a half rural area and smagams don't occur here. But if your family gets disturbed go to the nearest gudwara in the mourning and sit inside and chant gods name. But the best way to get anand is to go to smagams because everyone is there for one thing, the single thing that every single living being thrives for, god. This may not be the best answer because I am only 13 years old, but I hope this helps.
