shabads in background

when I study, can I put shabads in the background (am i disrespecting)?

basically i will describe my situation. due to a recent meltdown, as soon as i begin to study, my hands sometimes start shivering, thinking about the outcome (what if I don't get a 90), or it will think about situations that went the way I didn't want them too. and future fantasies so as soon as that happens my mind goes out. - and no where near study with shabads in the background it sort of helps me, because as soon as I begin to have those horrible feelings, I listen to what the shabad is saying in the background. contemplate it, and then go back to study.

I do cover my head thou when i study now. let me know, I do not want to disrespect, but bani seems to be medicine to me and I am so shaken that I need it 24 X 7, but I also need to do my responsibilities.

basically i will describe my situation. due to a recent meltdown, as soon as i begin to study, my hands sometimes start shivering, thinking about the outcome (what if I don't get a 90), good grade), or it will think about situations that went the way I didn't want them too. and future fantasies so as soon as that happens my mind goes out. - and no where near study

with shabads in the background it sort of helps me, because as soon as I begin to have those horrible feelings, I listen to what the shabad is saying in the background. contemplate it, and then go back to study.
