My sikh family members have started exchanging Christmas Gifts, I am not sure what to do.

I have raised my children with the wisdom that we respect all religions and we wish happy holidays to anyone celebrating their religion. Now my family members have started installing Christmas Trees in their houses and have invited me over for gift exchange. It was easy telling my children what is appropriate and what is not. But now I am caught in a dilemma of explaining my position to my nieces and nephews whom are not raised with the same Sikh values. Please help me formulate a polite rebuttal.
