How can meditation bring one closer to Waheguru

Hello everyone, my name is Dana I am taking a world religions IB course at my school. We have to choose a religion to study more closely and create a question that will help us understand it more deeply.Obviously I chose Sikhism! My IA question is How can meditation bring one closer to Waheguru? It would help me very much if I could get some well thought out reply's. If it helps I will put some starting questions below to help focus the answer. I would be interested in hearing the answers to those questions but you don't have to answer all of them unless you want to:) Thank you all so much!

  1. what is meditation to you?
  2. Can you describe the experience of it?
  3. How often do you meditate?
  4. what do you think happened to Guru Nanak when he disappeared for 3 days?
  5. Do you always meditate the same way?
  6. Is it ok to meditate with others? Does that change the experience?
  7. Is meditation the same whether you are in the Gurdwara or not?
  8. how do you see Guru Wahe influencing your life?
  9. How does meditation bring you closer to God?

Thanks again!!
