Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa waheguru Ji ki fateh

My parents believe in stereotypes like : not cutting your nails and night and to not wash your hair on certain days and to not day certain things at certain times of the day ... Etc . Don't get me wrong, I love my mother and father but I don't personally believe in stereotypes nor bad luck . My parents aren't religious . My question is : how do I convince my parents in stopping to believe in stereotypes ?
