Why should we even aim for Mukti (Liberation) ?

As per my understanding only when you let go of desires (happiness ) you are on a path to Moksha/Mukti/Liberation and you don't feel anymore sorrow or suffering

But this doesn't seem to me as a win-win situation I have to let of of my joy too and i wont feel pain. A fair trade but not very profitable.

Instead why shouldn't one just Enjoy this life (which is not real as per Gurbani) and just bear some pain too.

Why should one even look for Mukti in first place ?
