Is it better for a Sikh to let it be or do something about it ?

Hypothetically speaking.

John is spiritually awake Sikh, he has a friend Peter who is ( lets just say spiritually dead )

As far I understand the word Sikh means "to learn and to teach"

John has an option to share his knowledge with Peter, but if he does it will offend Peter ( there is no non-offensive way)

Should John just mind his own business and turn a blind eye towards Peter, Since it doesn't affect him in any way and offending Peter will just bring him minor Bad Karma, so he is better off minding his own business

What does Sikhism say about this ?
