Carrying Kirpan to different country

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh!

I am a Sikh from Mumbai and recently I and my mother made a plan to meet my grandmother in Kathmandu (Nepal) . Now the real problem is after getting tickets booked , we came to know that one cannot carry a Kirpan inside an international air flight, that means I am allowed to carry in the luggage but not with me wearing, Now , In such case we both dont have any clue what to do!

Please help us in this context!

My amritdhari aunt always wears a necklace with a small "symbolic" kirpan on such flights. I'm interested to see what other people do.

Even this was the answer that I got from other people .. Is it valid using such kirpan then ?

I do the same. Small steel kirpan attached to kanga with silk thread. You can still pack larger kirpan in your luggage.

Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa waheguru Ji ke fateh

You can wear a necklace with a kirpan on it on the plane but pack a kirpan in your luggage so you can wear a kirpan when you arrive. Enjoy your trip.

I believe in India one is permitted to wear up to a 6-inch kirpan in gatra whilst riding on a plane, but I could be wrong. I am not educated on Nepalese laws regarding this for the return flight.

Keep whatever shastars you want in your luggage, but as for actively wearing some sort of kirpan on the plane, there a few reasonable options:

Kirpan Necklace - (http://www.sadigali.com/accessories/s...)
Kirpan attached to Kanga with Thread - (http://www.namdhari-world.com/images/...101.jpg)
Dumalla Kirpans - (http://www.sikhshop.net/accessories/9...)

I would recommend wearing the dumalla kirpan(s) though, because the rehat calls for a strapped kirpan, and that is the closest thing possible. Obviously dumalla shastars are not there for show, but for both protection and sarabloh shakt.

Before wearing any sort of kirpan on the plane, I advise you call and check in with your airline first.
