If an Indian couple wishes to marry where the woman is approximately 15-17 years younger to the man, is such a marriage acceptable in the Indian families, and the Indian society at large? What Sikhism has to say about the age difference between the bride and the groom?

I feel like this is a difficult issue in our society. The ideal answer is that yes it should be ok as long as the mental maturity is present (at about equal levels) in both parties. Thats the first part second part is about consent (is the girl seriously willing or its due to some circumstances)

Third is mutual respect, like all relationships. Relationships generally have more to do with mental maturity rather than the age gap. If it doesn't bother husband wife then there is no issue. so make sure thats is all worked out.

I dont think sikhism says specifically about the age difference. As long as guru is the center of your life and you are both spiritually progressing in your marriage .. its fine.
