Can we please get the comments working and better way to stop spam, can we not introduce a recaptcha for asking questions ?

I see that people are leaving comments, but I will double check the access. The "Captcha" is one way we avoid spambots that use scripts. We monitor the forum and delete spammers and their messages. The only other way to do that (which we used to do) is to make the forum moderated. When we do that, questions do not show up when they are posted, but only after a moderator checks in and approves them. We did that when we had a lot of spam here, but it bothers people asking questions because they do not see their question when they ask it and so tend to ask the same question over and over wondering why it doesn't appear.

The only way i can comment is by commenting on my own answer, then converting that to answer and then I click post as comment under older answer.
