to some degree we should like ourselves right? in my situation, i used to have a lot of ego and self pride, and conceit (don't ask :|) but some stuff happened and my ego broke literally and out came a sweet person, but broken on the inside. I did not really feel good at all about myself. but today I find that I am liking myself, smiling at the minor personal achievements, is that haumai? I do not want to be the kind of person I used to be, so any inputs? thank you guys

Living without haumai does not mean we should hate ourselves and fall into depression. That's silly. Chardi kala. Be glad at the deeds of the guru that will bring you to Sach Khand...not on superficial things.

So basically as long as i admit that the achievements are coming from god, say thank you. I can be happy about the little things i like about me. (Not in a ego way)?.

There is nothing wrong with you. A bit of self respect and liking oneself is a normal human tendency.
