From last 19 months I've praying for one single thing but nothing is happening. Now it feels that I am a fool who has been praying from last 19 months just in the hope that my prayer for that single thing will come true. I cried few times as well. That thing is the most important and essential for me but my most important request is haven't granted by God to me yet and I know that he won't even bother to my prayers now. He just wants me to suffer. I don't know why I'm still praying to him knowing that nothing has happened and nothing gonna happen. Now it feels that I should stop praying and believing in God because my life is becoming miserable every day. I'm very confused should I do that ? Why or why not ? I am so fed up that I want to kill myself. Sorry for being rude but God is not listening to me. In the gurbani, I've heard that "guru Nanak de ghar Te sab kuch mil janda e, koi khali hath ni janda, rondey hasdey hoye jande Ne" but why he's sending me back crying every time?

Jazz ji keep doing your path. Start of slowly start doing simran and build your relationship back with Waheguru. We have ups and downs in our spiritual life.

Listen to Shabad Hazare along with the meaning

Also learn up the Gurus, watch this playlist

Read about the/watch videos on great gursikhs. Especially:

  • The shaheede of Guru Arjan Dev Ji patsha
  • The story of Guru Tegh Bhadur Ji patsha and he's three singhs
  • The story of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his 4 shabzda
  • The story of Bhai Mani Singh Ji who was cut bit by bit

All these can be found on YouTube, also there is a movie on the 4 Shabzda.

Developing hatred towards god means hatred towards yourself. Bani at amritvela is not a cash bank, it is simply food for soul. And tapping into the rhythm of bani gives you bliss. Bliss gives you steadiness and that improves your life. but i guess not all people reach that stage at first, so not blaming you, you cant even force that stage. Can't even tell you what to do. :/ cuz u might not even care.

But here it is "sell your mind to guru" and everything that is going to come to you, it will.

listen first off I am sorry saying it very bluntly. in the above comment but you know that analogy about the kid. if a kid gets slapped by the mom, he will still go and hug the mom for comfort. and I understand that you have been praying for a really long. I understand that but please don't lose faith. - peace out, I wish you well and I hope you rebuild your faith.

I still don't know what should I do. Should I continue to pray ? Or should I stop praying? I have no idea I've developed a hatred towards the god now Should I do nitnem everyday ? Should I continue to pray even knowing that my prayers won't come true because I've praying for one single thing from last 19 months. I know that my prayers haven't worked from last 19 months, then how can I expect them to become true now. I'm not asking for love, money or any personal thing, I'm just praying for one single thing which everyone have. Sorry for being rude

it is not that your prayers are not heard or not being answered .....they are every single time. But we are so engrossed in our selfish desires which are like mirage (mrig-trishna) that one keep running after. You want everything as per your wish, which is so flawed. If you just let go of everything, do naam jap and listen to Baani whole-heartedly everyday slowly - slowly your surrt (mann) will connect to divine and Waheguru who is infinte intellege will touch you and give you the best ever possible answer. Bhane vich rehna and let Almighty do its work which will be the best for you and everyone else and will satisfy all your desires deeply at so many levels.

Pardon me if I'm wrong. Thanks

WaheGuru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

You are very mistaken if you think that Waheguru will give you your desires on a serving plate as you have requested. We all have to work and pray hard for Kirpa from Waheguru. You have to be honest from the core of your being when you pray and not be greedy with your requests. As the previous commentor said *"We forget that everyday we are blessed with food, water, shelter and luxuries, we forget that we've been blessed with this human body and breath, and we forget that even to actually read Guru Ji's bani is a blessing"** You can see Wahegurus Kirpa in many ways but you have to be willing to see it and be grateful. Stay positive and honest and you will be blessed.

Salok, First Guru:

Suffering is the medicine, and pleasure the disease, because where there is pleasure, there is no desire for God.

Meditate on Naam and understand the innate nature. the cure is naam not a shopping list of your desires. Pain has been that medicine that has got you this far, but you have begun to fall into the deep shadow of ego and questioning the hukham of waheguru.

Dukh bhanjan tero naam ji" the ailment to pains is the naam

Sri harkrishan diyayae jis dithe sab dukh jaiye remembering the guru (harkrishan sahib ji) all pains vanish

Your ego has blinded you. Pray through the ardass not just by muttering what you want and if you dont know learn. Dont recite bani just for the sake of it or thinking that 100 japjis wil get you a boon.

meditate on the lord with full conciousness and love, know what you are praying. seek shelter in the prayers of Benti chaupai and the lines of bani i have provided.

Please email me: [email protected] for more guidence.

Sikhi is a path to be fully practised not just enterd into.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Praying is not for to obtain things. We pray to connect and love the creator and Guru Ji. Praying however does help, solve all our worldly and spiritual pains.

We have to develop love for praying, not just do it for the sake of it. Developing love is very difficult, even I feel like giving up sometimes but Guru Ji kirpa he keeps me going.

Waheguru is not making you suffer, we cause suffering to fall on ourselves, due to our Karma. So we need to fix up, and we need to realise to live in his hukam.

Most the of time we receive what we want, but that one thing we don't receive we start blaming Guru Ji and Waheguru Ji. We forget that everyday we are blessed with food, water, shelter and luxuries, we forget that we've been blessed with this human body and breath, and we forget that even to actually read Guru Ji's bani is a blessing.

Praying gives us so many virtues. So instead of focusing on what we want, why not just do Ardaas in front of Guru Ji and ask for forgiveness and if that thing you wish to obtain requires you to put effort then ask for strength so you can do it.

You will get what you want, but if our heart is focused on other things while praying then we're not getting the full benefit.

Keep your faith strong, and remember Waheguru will definitely help you.

Please forgive me if i said anything wrong or offensive.

Basically listening to bani is supposed to kill your hunger for anything. because Desire sometimes when it is so strong, is like a rope pulling you to the world of maya. when you give up desire, and pray from heart. You have many realizations. you can get upset with god, but realize still it is the only real relationship you will have. (Analogy; think of a child hugging and crying mom who refused to give her a toy who does the child hug while crying? It is of course his or her mom) Because the child has bo choice, we also have no choice. You can try the other way but it is just horrible.

You are in this situation negative thinking will not help. If negative thinking doesn't help why indulge in it? Negative places can be comforting, you get to complain and vent. Positivity takes effort.

We as gods children have to follow his hukam, with great humility.

Bottom line it takes a complete surrender and trust to god. I pray for you
