There is a phrase "man baychai sat guru ke pass, tis sevak ke karaj rass"

So does this mean that we kill our own identity and In every situation act like satguru. Even if we feel like doing something else.

Idk a very stupid hypothetical example but here it goes - i wanna eat like 4 pizza slices but i should eat 2. Because (it is mentioned to eat little)

And in extreme situations (harder than above) we basically kill ourselves, by imitating god. And through meditation we get to know who we were really meant to be?

man baychai sat guru ke pass, tis sevak ke karaj rass

"Selling the mind to the guru, the servant reaps the benefit and experiences the flavour."

This is the correct meaning. its replacing manmat with gurmat. not imitating the guru but receiving the teachings of the guru and following them.in this way gurmat comes and manmat goes.

meditate and vibrate on naaam

There is no self. Your soul is part of God, and within that is God contained altogether. To want to do things against guru's will is called ego, not 'being yourself'

Fateh.
