My friend one time smacked a fly dead and said she helped it reach its next life. Should u refrain from killing all life? (Mosquitoes bugs anything)

Yes, refrain from killing all life. Why kill life? Why are all souls from tiny flys to important humans. Life is so precious. Your friend did not help it attain its next life. Killing something for no good reason is going against god's will. If it has done no wrong (or no major wrong rather) don't kill it.
