Again, coming to the Vedas, we can find N number of verses, literally describing the lord's form. For an example the entire PURUSH SUKTAM, hym 10:90 from RigVeda is being dedicated to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, describing His Virat Swaroop, the same Swaroop which He showed to Arjuna during the war of Kurukshetra!

In the Yajur Veda, Taittiriya Aranyaka (10-13-1), Narayana suktam, Lord Narayana is mentioned as the supreme being. The first verse of Narayana Suktam mentions the words "paramam padam", which literally mean "highest post" and may be understood as the "supreme abode for all souls". This is also known as Param Dhama, Paramapadam, or Vaikuntha. Rig Veda 1:22:20a also mentions the same "paramam padam". This special status is not given to any deity in the Vedas apart from Lord Vishnu/Narayana

Now talking about Bhagwad Gita, the entire Gita is filled with verses stating that Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead - Chapter 9,verse 11 - avajananti mam mudha manusim tanum asritam param bhavam ajananto mama bhuta-mahesvaram

Fools deride Me when I descend in the human form. They do not know My transcendental nature and My supreme dominion over all that be.

“Those who are devotees of other gods and who worship them with faith actually worship only me, O son of Kunti, but they do so in a wrong way. I am the only enjoyer and master of all sacrifices. Therefore, those who do not recognize my true transcendental nature fall down”(Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.24)

The Supreme Lord performed various pastimes from the moment of His incarnation which reveals the Divinity. He killed putna and several other demons when He was just an infant. He showed the entire universe as a mere particle in His mouth, He lifted the entire Govardhan mountain, just at the age of 6. All the Great Rishis like Ved Vyaas, Parashar, Yagnavalkya, Madhav, Ramanuj, Nimbark, Augustya, Narad Muni has accepted Sri Krishna/Vishnu as the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Here's some interesting Knowledge that we can look into - Srimad Bhagwatam, 1.2.11 - vadanti tat tattva-vidas tattvam yaj jnanam advayam brahmeti paramatmeti bhagavan iti sabdyate - The Supreme Lord is realized in 3 manners, one is BRAHMETI (The Divine Light), PARAMATMETI (Paramatma), BHAGWAAN(The Supreme Personality). When you refer to Akaal Purakh, you're probably referring to the BRAHMA Swaroop of the Lord which is Shapeless form of Divine Light. That does not mean Lord is Shapeless!!

Srimad Bhagwatam 11.27.12 - saili daru-mayi lauhi lepya lekhya ca saikati mano-mayi mani-mayi pratimasta-vidha smrta - The Deity (ARCHA VIGRAHA) form of the Lord is said to appear in eight varieties -- stone, wood, metal, earth, paint, sand, the mind or jewels. So the Supreme Lord manifests Himself for the benefit of us through the above 8 Materials and the Murti Vigraha is NON DIFFERENT from Himself.

So we do respect Sikh Gurus, but "if" this is the philosophy they have about the Supreme personality then we can just pray to the lord for some mercy. Al-though I'm personally very much touched by the teachings of Sri NanakDev and I pray to him to show us all the right path.
