Namajapa: In Hinduism and other religions, tradition of namajapa of a mantra or simple chanting of bijamantra is there. Is there a tradition of namajapa in sikhism?
Well, Sikhi is based on Nam Japa. Have you read the Mool Mantra? (the beginning of Japji.) The Siri Guru Granth Sahib starts off with the command: "jaap." In Sikhi, the bij mantra is "Sat Nam." (Your/My Name is Truth)
