Well, Sikhi is based on Nam Japa. Have you read the Mool Mantra? (the beginning of Japji.) The Siri Guru Granth Sahib starts off with the command: "jaap." In Sikhi, the bij mantra is "Sat Nam." (Your/My Name is Truth)

Ek Ong Kar - We are One with the One God. Sat Nam - This is our True Identity. Karta Purkh - Doer of everything. Nirbhau - Beyond fear. Nirvair - Beyond Revenge. Akal - Beyond Death, Moorat - Image of the Infinite, Ajooni - Unborn. Saibhang - Shining (Full of Light.) Gur Prasad - This is the Guru’s Gift ~ Jaap - MEDITATE! Aad Sach - IT IS THE PRIMAL TRUTH. Jugaad Sach - TRUE FOR ALL TIME. Haybhee Sach - TRUE AT THIS INSTANT. Nanak - O NANAK. Hosee Bhee Sach - TRUE FOREVER.
