Wondering Mind

Waheguru Ji,

My mind has been wondering and seems to me the only thing I want is a relationship with a girl. I'm a guy in my early twenties. I try to meditate everyday along with reading some Bani. Whenever I have gone to look for a relationship, I have always got in trouble and that has affected my life in many bad ways. I tell myself not to go after someone because I know I will be hurt. But I still wonder off into the fantasy world without looking at the reality then end up devastated. Unfortunately that's the only thing I think about most of my days. I have school and other activities but nothing seems to keep my mind away. I don't want to go through that cycle of pain again and again. This has made me do things I could have never imagined and will regret.

I was thinking of going to India and having the traditional arrange marriage there so I won't have to think about finding someone again and again.

Is there a bani or Shabad I can recite? I will recite it.

Please forgive me If I offended anybody.

Waheguru

Dear Joda Singh Ji,

You may enjoy the pleasures of hundreds of thousands of women, and rule the nine continents of the world.

Drunk with sexual desire and other great sins, you go astray, and do not distinguish between vice and virtue.

The soul of the man is lured by gold and women; emotional attachment to Maya is so sweet to him.

Engrossed in Maya and sexual desire, the fool does not understand.

Men and women are obsessed with sex; they do not know the Way of the Lord's Name.

Man remains engrossed in women and playful pleasures; the tumult of his passion is like the dye of the safflower, which fades away all too soon.

Those who are attuned to the Shabad are spotless and pure; they renounce sexual desire, anger, selfishness and conceit.

  • All of those are quotes of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

Find a good Sikh woman. If you even have the slightest idea that she will bring trouble, then she is not right for you. Love Waheguru and go beyond your personal limits. Sing gurbani as much as you can and memorize it. Avoid pornography and masturbation and any other forms of lust. Celibacy is not bad if you do choose this also, for you wont be lonely if you have Waheguru. When your mind goes astray, sing Wahegurus name (even if you don't say Waheguru out loud). The pleasures of these women in skimpy clothes are only temporary. Waheguru, though, is eternal. Yell out out, "I defy you Maya! All others are yet only a grain of sand upon a great and mighty beach! Waheguru is one. Waheguru is all. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Fateh! Fateh!" You can also do ardaas and ask Waheguru how to help yourself, for I know no more than you I'm sure.

I really hope this helped
