Quick question: "Do not believe a person who swears (one who tries/attempts to convince someone with a 'saun or saugandh')." Does that mean swear as in cursing, or swear as in swearing to do some certain act, etc.? Thanks!

It means that the people who try to gain your trust by saying: "so & so's saun or kasam this is how the situation is"... Guru Gobind Singh Ji has said to not believe them...because walking on the path of Sikhi automatically means that one must practise speaking the truth...
