steel kara ?

Can an amritdhari wear a steel kara or only iron is allowed ?

gurfateh! i agree with guruka, but the puratan maryada states that sarbloh (iron) is the correct material for a kara not gold not silver not copper etc. when it comes to steel, one can make the exvuse that they are of similar properties but one has to look at the science behind the question. Sarbloh is used for a variety of reasons but mostly because it has high religious sagnificance within sikhi. so without no question one should use iron as the material to make or wear a kara.

Sarabloh is beautiful.

Bhawna.. Ur sentiments are important too behind doing anything.

So a moorakh like me can just about do all maryada but will remain the same fool while 'Guru Ka' or 'guru kee' will be honoured anyways..

I wear sarabloh and advice with my head bowed to wear sarabloh. Its amazing
